Parkas, peacoats and heavy-wool cashmere jumpers are the current stand-outs from
US label Nom de Guerre, newly available in the UK from Liberty. Originally founded as
a basement clothes shop in downtown Manhattan by a mish-mash of skaters,
typographers, magazine editors and artists, the group took the plunge with its own
designs, keeping the emphasis on quality graphics and subtly styled classics. The NYC
store is hard to find but still worth tracking down for its T-shirts and sweatshirts.
