Boot Camp

First act of Full Metal Jacket shiny or Taxi Driver worn out, full top boots are a gimmie for a shade of east-end rudie/skinhead flavor. With nods to an Anglo working class fashion era, Nom de Guerre has recently eschewed that increasingly tiresome athletic shoe trend in favor of more mature and photoshoot worthy footwear, most recently in collaboration with century old Northampton manufacturers Tricker’s. As a traditionfocused company, Tricker’s has stayed under the radar outside their core constituency; but in this collaboration, they’ll have their craftsmanship imported to the States. The final product, a wing-tipped version of the trad Tricker’s combat boot, is also a new offering by the brand. The question still remains though: Private Pyle or Travis Bickle?
